ConGRADulations!

We have been terrible at updating our blog, but realize it's the only way some of y'all will know what's going on with us. So we really are going to try to do better! In May we were able to visit NY & CT to attend Brandon's graduation from Pace University (Law School) and Brittiny's graduation from Yale (School of Medicine.) We are so proud! It was a short trip but we had a great time. We were able to spend some time in New York City enjoying one of our favorite activities ... shopping, for bags & watches specifically. It was awesome! We were also able to visit some of Aaron's old NY stomping grounds. He had a great time. But the highlight of the trip was definitely the time we were able to spend with Brandon, Brittiny and Brooklyn.
Here are a few pics from the trip. Aaron in front of his old apartment on Page Ave. in Yonkers, NY

We love Ikea!!!

But it wore Brookers right out!

And now ... the reason for the whole trip ... (drumroll please) ...

THE GRADUATES!

Oh FFFUUUUUDDDDGGGGE ... Where did this year go? It's Christmas Time Again?!

One of our favorite Christmas season traditions is to attend the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. We were fortunate enough to be able to attend again this year. As always it was an amazing experience! The next night we celebrated Elizabeth's first birthday! We attended a fun party at Holly & Jared's house with the Epperson & Olson Families. Elizabeth had her first (big!) taste of cake & was kind enough to share it with her Nonny. We pinpointed this as the exact moment mom caught her cold.

We had a fun Christmas Eve with the Quigley cousins, but didn't bring our camera. So you'll just have to imagine Aaron opening one of Grandma's old swimsuits during the white elephant gift exchange & then modeling it for the entire family. We had a great time! You can talk to Brent & Buffy if you'd like photographic proof of this high point in Aaron's modeling career. We spent much of Christmas Day at Janette & Kevin's with the Oakeson family. We played games, had some great food, and the kids opened presents from each other & from the Grandparents. Most of the kids opening gifts

Natalie was VERY excited!

Taylor & Mandy We all had a great time playing games & spending some time together.

Merry Christmas Everybody!

Time to Catch Up

We haven't been very good about updating our blog the past month or two on account of the MANY events we've been attending. So now that we have a moment we thought we'd bring everybody up to speed on just a few of the things that took up so much of our time during the last bit of this year: In November we celebrated Grandma Bonnie's 80th birthday by having a reunion of sorts at the Classic skating rink. Although Bonnie passed away this last year, the family still thought it was fitting that we do this knowing Grandma would have just loved it! Some skated ... Some didn't ... But everybody had a great time! Dan & Kerri Cousin Jason & Brittany, Mandy & Janette doing the CHICKEN DANCE! We also had a great Thanksgiving with the Oakeson, Arnesen, Williams & Pryor families. We played basketball, ate a great dinner and played a looooonngggg game of hearts.

I know it's only Rock 'n' Roll but I like it!

Well the long awaited day finally arrived ... the day we saw The Rolling Stones live in concert and it ROCKED SO HARD! Yeah, you heard us, we actually used that lame phrase! That's how excited we were! When we bought our tickets way back in April we were just hoping nobody in the group would die before they got to SLC. They're super old but they can still give you your moneys worth. If you're into people watching this was the place to be. There were all sorts of interesting characters. We hope we're still as spunky as them when we hit 60 ... just clean & sober. Aaron was rockin' out to "Sympathy for the Devil" Mick put on the long coat & the hat the whole thing. I don't think I could pick a favorite song if I had to. I was just totally thrilled to see Mick in all of his 60-something year old glory doing his strut and pout and the whole thing better than anyone half his age. Many of you know about my strange adoration for the guy. And yes, I'm very aware that he's not attractive in the conventional sense ... okay I'll even admit he's technically pretty gross. But c'mon ... just humor me.
